About Susan
Some callings find you through study. Others find you through living.
My path to end-of-life work has been both.

As an occupational therapist, I built a foundation in the science of the human body and mind — the physical, the psychological, the measurable. But life has a way of leading you beyond what can be measured. My own journey of discovery brought me to the places textbooks don't go: the terrain of the spirit, the weight of unfinished things, the extraordinary threshold that each of us will one day cross.
That's where my work lives now.
Through training as an energy practitioner and minister of healing, I've learned to hold both worlds at once — the clinical and the sacred, the practical and the profound. I bring this integrated approach to every person I serve, always meeting you where you are: your background, your beliefs, your way of making meaning.
I have had the privilege of walking alongside many individuals and families through this passage. I've sat with the dying and the grieving. I've provided hands-on care as a primary caregiver and offered compassionate presence to families in the aftermath of loss. I've conducted energy work to invite surrender and peace, held vigils through the night, and officiated funeral services. Each death is its own sacred event. Each one asks something of the heart.
Emotional, Spiritual & Existential Support
When we face the end of a life — our own, or someone we love — feelings surface that have often waited years to be spoken. Resentment. Regret. Love that never found its words.
As an End of Life Doula, I offer a quiet space for all of it. I listen without judgment. I help navigate the emotional landscape of dying and saying goodbye — through conversations, through letters, through the kinds of phone calls that are hard to make alone. I believe it is possible to free ourselves of what we've been carrying before we die. That kind of release creates something real: a peace that the dying person feels, and that family and friends carry forward.
You don't have to walk this path without support.
